    Smørrebrød / Open faced sandwiches

Meyers i Tårnet brings new life to the old lumber rooms of the Danish Parliament where busts and statues have been dusted for the pleasure of the dinning guests.

The kitchen is based on traditional Danish cooking with respect for the past and sense of the future. You can get an exquisite Danish smørrebrød (open-faced sandwich) inspired by the current season.

Menus that will remind you of your grandmothers excellent cooking prepared by experienced cooks and at last but not at least you can get a big variety of tempting cakes.

From Tuesday, November 12th, the menu changes and the restaurant will serve the Christmas menu. See the menu below here.

44 meters - Copenhagen view:

The tower is built as a part of the third and current Christiansborg Castle that was built in the period between 1907 – 1928. For almost hundred years the only guests in the tower were pigeons and men without any fear of heights that went there to raise the flag on the top of the tower. However, in 2014 the Danish Parliament decided to open the tower for visual and gastronomic experiences, allowing everyone to enter the viewing platform 44 meters above the ground. The platform is placed directly above the restaurant, whose visitors are the obvious target group for Meyers to invite inside in order to add an extra tasteful dimension to their visit in the tower of Christiansborg.

Please note that the Tower is part of area of the Danish Parliament. This means that all guests must be scanned at the entrance. Furthermore, there is only one elevator to the Tower, so there may be queues. We therefore recommend that you arrive well in advance when you want to visit the restaurant.
